We have experienced the best and the worst of the sector, but we remain steadfast in our commitment to the success of aquaculture in Kenya.
Lenalia Fish is managed by innovative entrepreneurs with a deep understanding of Kenya’s agricultural landscape and market dynamics. We are skilled in identifying profitable opportunities and optimising production, and are highly aware of Kenya’s unique agricultural challenges, such as climate variability, access to quality inputs, and market fluctuations. Consequently, we have become adept at developing strategies to manage risks and maintain sustainable operations.
Our Management Team are members of several aquaculture and agribusiness associations and groups, including the Aquaculture Association of Kenya. We have been involved in numerous aquaculture industry initiatives and possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in sustainable fish farming practices, aquaculture management, and environmental conservation. We also have years of practical experience working with freshwater species, especially tilapia and catfish, which are popular in Kenya’s aquaculture sector.
We have in-depth understanding of the challenges specific to aquaculture in Kenya, including high costs of fish feed, water scarcity, and fluctuating environmental conditions. We are adept at implementing cost-effective, innovative solutions to overcome these barriers and have many years of experience in collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities in promoting aquaculture as a viable livelihood and to ensure sustainability.
Our Management Team stays constantly updated on regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry best practices and also plays a key role in training new aquaculture farmers, consulting, and advocating for policies that support the growth of Kenya’s aquaculture industry.

Lenalia Fish Feeds is a socially-focused agricultural venture that specialises in the production of high quality fish feed, and which is very focused on its efforts to support ongoing food security initiatives through sustainable aquaculture using locally available feed ingredients. Lenalia Fish Feeds produces Complete Feeds for different types of fish species using the specifications of the Kenya Commercial Fish Feed Standards approved by the Kenya Bureau of Standards and the Kenya Marine & Fisheries Research Institute.
